On December 7, 2021, a woman suspected of driving under the influence led police on a chase that ended at the prestigious Grand Harbor Golf and Beach Club in Vero Beach, FL. The woman plowed through the gate of the country club and Members of the club had to run for their lives when she headed on to the golf course where people were playing. The chase ended with a pit maneuver on the 9th hole of the golf course, and then another cruiser ran head-on into the suspect's car. The 60-year-old suspect faces multiple charges, including DUI and aggravated fleeing/eluding.
