The team was from Russia competing in the two man bobsleigh ( two man bob). The team members were KL Jawinsch and Juris Jaudsems. Jaudsems was from Latvia which during the Soviet Union era was part of the Russia, and is now a free independent country, but this moment left him running after his team mate after missing the moment to jump on board the machine. This is logged on file as happening at the 1988 world championships in the two man bob category in Austria.
