On August 11, 2025, in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang, the video captured a local woman spotting an unusually large “mushroom bun” growing by the roadside.
She struggled to lift it with both hands as the enormous fungus was too wide to be held easily.
Eventually, she managed to carry it home to dry under the sun for later medicinal use.
According to locals, the mushroom, known as mafenbao in Chinese, is valued in traditional medicine.
It is believed to have hemostatic properties, meaning it can help stop bleeding.
