The theft happened at Pandit Jewellers on DM Colony Road in Bulandshahr, a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India, on the evening of Friday, 26th September.
According to shop owner Gaurav Goud, the woman entered the store with a man and asked to see gold sets.
Video shows her examining the ornaments while the salesman displays them, before calmly picking up a giant necklace.
She places one necklace back on the table and then discreetly tucks another piece under her saree.
The pair continued to ask the staff about prices before claiming they were not interested in any of the items.
They then left the showroom with the concealed necklace.
The theft came to light when staff later checked the remaining jewellery and realised a piece was missing.
The CCTV footage of the theft has been handed over to police.
An investigation is ongoing to identify the suspects and recover the stolen gold.
