A 'fearless' angler filmed himself fighting off THREE SHARKS as they tried to bite his catch right out of his hand before chasing him through the shallow water in a 'blood-frenzy' - but he won the fish.

Cooper Watson admits he was 'lucky' not have become a target himself when he refused to allow the trio of blacktip sharks pinch the trevally he had hooked while fishing in the Indian Ocean off the Cocos Islands on Sunday.

Hair-raising footage shows a blacktip shark following the 21-year-old's catch as he tries to reel it in while stood in the thigh-deep water, causing Cooper to kick out to try to scare off the predator.
