説明

An indoor skydiver was accidentally kicked in the crotch by his partner in mid-air - leaving 160mph winds to throw him around the chamber as he writhed in pain.

Oli Provost was training for the World Cup of Indoor Skydiving with Dawson Hinton last month [Feb 13] when a slight collision 'took his breath away'.

Footage shows the talented pair soaring gracefully around the chamber until 23-year-old Dawson's left heel hit Oli, 29, in the private parts.

Oli can be seen hunching over as he's thrown into the glass wall without his partner being able to hear his scream.

The 160mph winds thrust him upwards as he hunches into the foetal position so Dawson follows and grabs him by his failing arms.

He drags his injured partner downwards until Oli can touch the floor and stumble out the chamber to stop the wind.

Oli now laughs at the wince-inducing footage but admits it was hard to keep control after Dawson's tensed body hit his groin 'like a wall'.

He posted the video to Instagram where it has been viewed more than 24,000 times.

The pair recently won a national competition to qualify as the only Canadian team at next month's World Cup of Indoor Skydiving in Macau, China.

Oli, from Montreal, Canada, said: "It took my breath away to say the least.

"As soon as I got hit my face turned red and I screamed but that didn't mean the wind stopped.

"We were practising flying at very high speed and as fast as the machine can go.

"We try to be as precise as we can but this wasn't very precise as we ended up in each other's path and his heel hit my nuts.

"It doesn't look like there's much contact but when you fly at that speed you have to tense your body and be extremely rigid so he was like a wall.

"Even though I was in pain it was important to remain calm and hold myself in a position that wouldn't let the wind smash me against a wall.

"It's funny to look back on and it's better than a broken leg because there's a lot of injuries that can happen.

"When we got out he apologised but we're a team and maybe we were both in each other's line of flight and it was just enough for us to collide."

The pair were practising for the 'dynamic two-way' discipline's speed round, where competitors are marked on how quickly they can perform a specific routine.

Personal trainer Oli says the pair returned to the chamber 30 minutes after the painful incident.

Oli's post, which is sarcastically captioned 'training is going well', has earned more than 700 likes on Instagram.
