Security cameras at this shoe store captured the destructive path of a tornado that struck the small town of Dolores, Uruguay on April 15th, 2016. The business is located in Downtown, one of the most affected areas. The employees helped pedestrians and customers as the tornado approached. At some point, everybody decided to hide in the back of the store fearing the front door would shatter in pieces. Even though the tornado destroyed dozens of houses and retail stores and injured hundreds of people, nobody at the shoe store suffered serious injuries. The category 3 tornado was unprecedented in the area.
