A cyclist was lucky to get away with only minor injuries after he ignored the barriers and was struck by a high-speed train traveling at 90mph. The dramatic incident was captured on CCTV and showed the 26-year-old man ricocheting off the locomotive at the crossing near the southern Polish town of Opole. Moments before, the cyclist could be seen ignoring the flashing orange lights. The force of the impact sends the cyclist and his bike flying backwards in a spin . A car driver is then seen running to the man, who appears to be unconscious, to provide assistance. According to local media reports the man only suffered minor bruising despite the severity of the collision. Police tested the cyclist for alcohol and found him to be sober but fined him for ignoring the safety warnings. The Pendolino train involved in the incident was delayed by 40 minutes following the collision.
