There is a chicken-shaped church on a small hill in a rural area near Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It's only 5 km away from one of the most popular sightseeing spots in Indonesia called Borobudur Temple. With a ticket, tourists can enter the 'church' with a guide. The guid told me that the designer originally planned to build a pigeon-shaped building but people started calling it 'chicken church' for some reason.
Also, at the ground floor, there are about 10 small rooms for prayers, not only for Christians but also Muslims and others. The ground floor is not allowed to take a video or photo.
On the top of the building, visitors can see breathtaking views and also the Borobudur Temple.
There is also a board which explains about the building. It says 'HISTORY OF BUKIT RHEMA, The beginning in 1988 Daniel Alamsjah pray over night in this hill, then he got God's word became bigger: ''You must realize that the LORD has chosen you to build his holy temple. Now do it and do it with determination''
