This is the moment a motorcyclist falls to the ground in shock after his bike bursts into flames while he is riding it in busy traffic.
The video shows the rider’s CFMOTO 400NK motorbike approaching the underside of a footbridge when its engine suddenly bursts into flames.
The entire back end of the bike is engulfed in flames, which also begin burning the biker, but he keeps riding for several more seconds apparently unaware of the blaze because of his leather jacket.
He finally feels the flames and quickly jumps off his bike, which falls onto its side and keeps burning in the middle of the road.
The blaze was eventually put out by nearby witnesses and the motorcyclist escaped the freak accident with burns which were fortunately not life threatening.
The dramatic incident was captured by a dashcam in the district of Jiulongpo in China’s south-western Chongqing Municipality on 8th April.
The incident comes just days after the Chinese motorcycle manufacturer unveiled its latest 650GT model.
According to reports, the biker’s 400NK was purchased second hand - and he had it for only a few days before the accident.
Initial checks appear to suggest a petrol tank leak caused the fire.
The owner did not say whether he had insured the bike.
