This is the moment - seen three million times online - a fireman rushing to an emergency runs straight into a transparent glass door.
The uniformed firefighter and his colleague can be seen dashing through the lobby of their fire station towards the exit when the accident happens on 20th May, CCTV images show.
The mask-wearing rescuers from the county of Yunyang in China’s south-western municipality of Chongqing are said to have been responding to an emergency at the time, the fire service reported on 24th May.
The unsuspecting rescuer running alongside his colleague fails to notice the glass door, which was apparently too clean for him to notice.
He slams straight into the glass pane and collapses backwards on the tile floor.
With no time to waste, he then picks himself up, rubs his head and continues walking outside.
The fireman is not thought to have been seriously hurt.
On China’s Twitter-like social media platform Weibo, netizen ‘Dalaobi’ wrote: “They should’ve put some sort of warning there.”
‘Suixin Erdong’ added: “That’s heartbreaking. Look at the way he bounced back.”
‘Kaogu Shiguangji’ wrote: “That looks like it hurt, but I can’t stop watching.”
