This is the chilling moment a little girl uses a roof as a slide to have some fun with her sister after they sneaked out of a window of their seventh-floor apartment.
The terrifying footage was captured by a woman, identified by her last name Chen, who saw it from her home across the street in the city of Harbin, in the north-eastern Chinese province of Heilongjiang on 6th March.
In the video, the elementary school girls are seen playing on the roof of a 7-story building and sliding on the steep roof.
The children were only stopped from falling to the street below by a small platform that surrounds the roof and on which the girls landed after sliding.
The kids apparently got out of the window of their apartment and were climbing and sliding along the roof for about half an hour according to the film.
Chen said that the girls climbed up two or three times and during the last slide down, one of the girls slipped and nearly fell.
After noticing the children’s dangerous game, Chen immediately reported the scene to the police and contacted the property managers in hopes that the family of the children would be notified.
Chen tried yelling at the girls to get their attention and to persuade them to go home but to no avail.
Fortunately, the girl climbed back to their window unharmed after exhausting themselves with their fun.
According to reports, when the police arrived at the scene, the girls were already safe in their home.
Police found that there was an adult in the house, possibly the child’s father.
According to the parents, the girls who are six or seven years old are twins and are always getting into mischief.
The parents reportedly promised to pay more attention in the future and said they plan on installing guardrails on the windows to prevent children from climbing out in the future.
