This footage shows an impatient driver overtaking several other vehicles at speed in a Land Rover Freelander and smashing straight into a red car that was pulling out of a driveway. The incident took place in Magnitogorsk, in Chelyabinsk Oblast, in Russia, on Monday, 21st April.
And bizarrely, the Russian authorities fined the driver of the red car RUB 500 (GBP 4.54) for making a dangerous turn and failing to give way to the speeding, overtaking Land Rover.
The video shows the Land Rover Freelander attempting to overtake the seven cars in front of it on the quiet suburban street.
It veers onto the other side of the street and shoots past them at speed, while one of the motorists allows a red Ford Focus to exit a driveway. The red car, reportedly driven by a 22-year-old, then begins to turn left, into the path of the speeding Land Rover, which crashes into it, seriously damaging the front of the vehicle as it shoots past and out of shot.
Bizarrely, the local authorities blamed the crash on the Ford Focus driver, saying they had failed to give way and had performed a dangerous manoeuvre. Both vehicles were left seriously damaged as a result of the crash, according to local media reports.
No casualties were reported.
