This CCTV footage shows brickwork collapsing from the roof of a high-rise building and crashing onto parked vehicles below, narrowly missing a female pedestrian walking below.
The incident happened in Cheboksary, western Russia, on the afternoon of Monday, 2nd June.
According to the Kalininsky District Prosecutor’s Office, parts of the brickwork of the parapet fell from the 17th floor of residential apartment in a building which was built in 2019, damaging vehicles parked next to it.
A woman had just entered the yard and managed to run to the side moments before the bricks hit the ground.
Multiple vehicles were damaged and are expected to require costly repairs.
An investigation has been launched, and specialists will inspect similar structures of the building.
