This is the flaming heck moment a dozy driver sets his car's fuel tank alight with his partner inside as he fills up at a service station.
Dashcam footage filmed in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, eastern Russia, on 17th June, shows the driver pumping petrol when inexplicably he begins fiddling with a cigarette lighter.
But as he holds the lighter over the fuel cap, a spark catches the fumes and the car and the pump erupt in flames just fractions of an inch from the full petrol tank.
Dropping the flaming nozzle, he desperately beats out the flames with his hoodie while his terrified partner leaps out of the Toyota estate to get help.
As the flames start to die down, the driver filming the blaze decides to get away in case the whole car blows up.
He told local media later: "I saw that he'd peeled a sticker off of the petrol cap flap, then, apparently, decided to burn it.
"He seemed as stunned as everyone else waiting in the queue by what happened.
"I decided that I'd skip it and fill up next time."
