This is the moment a woman holding a three-year-old child falls from a balcony after it collapses beneath them both yet incredibly both survive almost unharmed.
The incident took place in Vitoria de Santo Antao, a city in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco, on the afternoon of Friday, 1st March at around 2:30 pm.
The footage shows the woman walking along the balcony with the child in her arms before it suddenly collapses as she reaches a doorway.
The woman manages to cling briefly to the side of the building but then loses her balance and drops around three metres onto the collapsed balcony below.
Local media reported that the woman and the child, who have not been named, were amazingly not seriously injured and luckily survived with little more than a few abrasions.
The woman and child were taken to the Joao Murilo de Oliveira Municipal Hospital after medics were called to the scene.
They were discharged the same afternoon, according to the Secretary of Social Defence of Vitoria de Santo Antao, Decio Canuto Filho.
The spokesperson said that experts had also been sent to the building to make sure that other balconies do not collapse.
