This is the moment two drunk men set off fireworks inside a residential lift as sparks fly, smoke billows and panic erupts in the confined space.
The video shows the men igniting a firework while filming on their phones before recoiling as flames burst around them and thick smoke fills the lift inside a high-rise building in the town of Murino in the Leningrad region in Russia on 27th December.
Local residents said the firework caused heavy smoke and panic inside the building, but confirmed that no one was injured.
Footage circulating online shows one of the men holding a bottle of beer while using his other hand to film the stunt on a smartphone.
The men are seen flinching and ducking as fiery flashes erupt around them inside the enclosed lift cabin.
Residents said the blast left soot and scorch marks on the lift walls with debris scattered across the floor.
The two men were later forced to clean the blackened walls after the incident and were made to apologise to neighbours living in the building.
The video has since gone viral on social media, drawing widespread criticism for the reckless behaviour.
No official information has been released regarding any legal action.
