説明
This is the moment a car suddenly cuts into a motorcyclist's lane at speed and nearly rams into her, leaving her visibly shaken.
The footage shows the rider travelling in the leftmost lane when a silver car enters from the left and accelerates sharply before overtaking her at close range on the Pan Island Expressway in Singapore on 9th December.
The motorcyclist was identified as Daphne LiLing, a Malaysian woman who transits to Singapore for work.
She was riding home at around 11:40 pm when the incident happened.
Dashcam footage shows the car speeding up as it cuts into her lane and overtakes her motorcycle.
The car passes so close that it appears to brush the motorcycle's mirror.
Daphne said: "I felt stunned and was very scared when the car literally passed me only inches away."
She described feeling a strong wave as the car rushed past at speed.
She said it looked like the driver did not intend to slow down as it neared her.
Daphne waited until the car moved into the next lane before honking because she feared sudden braking could cause a collision.
If the car had hit her, Daphne said she might have been crushed by a lorry travelling behind her.
She was left shaking in fright and later stopped under a bridge to rest and catch her breath after turning onto the Bukit Timah Expressway.
Daphne later posted about the incident on Facebook, where many users criticised the driver, and said she plans to make a police report.
She has also sent her dashcam footage to the Land Transport Authority.
