This is the moment a motorcyclist performs a Superman-style stunt on a busy motorway before crashing into the back of a car.
The footage shows the rider lying flat along the motorcycle as traffic builds ahead before the impact unfolds on a federal road in the town of Porto Belo in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina on 6th January.
Police said the crash involved a Honda CG 160 motorcycle and a Honda City car and was recorded near a toll plaza on the BR 101 motorway.
The video shows at least three motorcyclists riding at high speed while weaving between cars and lorries in heavy traffic.
One of the riders is seen performing the manoeuvre known as Superman, in which the motorcyclist stretches his body forward along the bike while it is moving.
Moments later, the rider returns to a normal riding position and collides with the rear of a car that has slowed ahead as the footage ends.
According to the Federal Highway Police, the collision was a rear-end crash and the motorcyclist was identified as a 19-year-old man.
He suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by staff from the road concessionaire Arteris before being taken to hospital.
Police said checks revealed that the rider did not hold a valid driving licence.
He was fined for the offences identified at the scene.
