説明

This is the moment a man minding his own business at a street cafe is suddenly hit on the head by a falling pane of glass that smashes into pieces as he slumps in his chair apparently knocked out.

The video then shows the victim slowly regaining his senses after the glass crashed down while he was sitting outside a bar in the Palermo neighbourhood of the city of Buenos Aires in Argentina on 13th December (2025), with the images only surfacing now.

The video shows the man seated at a table when a large glass pane suddenly falls from above and lands directly on top of his head.

The glass shatters on impact as the man slumps over in his seat, apparently knocked unconscious.

The man remains motionless for several moments before beginning to move again as the footage ends.

The glass was reportedly a double-reinforced window panel known locally as Blindex, measuring around 1 metre by 1 metre (3.2 feet by 3.2 feet).

Authorities said the pane fell from an apartment located on the fourth floor of the building above the cafe.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after the incident.

Police officers attended, along with medical staff, who treated the injured man at the scene.

The victim was later identified as Pablo, 50, and doctors later diagnosed him with cuts to his head and left arm with no risk to his life.

A cook working at the bar said staff initially believed they had heard a serious traffic collision due to the loud noise.

He said: "All the staff went outside to see what had happened and we saw the scene: the table knocked over on the ground and the customer sitting there semi-conscious."

The witness said staff applied two tourniquets to the man’s left arm due to the amount of blood he was losing.

He added that firefighters arrived before the ambulance and provided first aid while the man remained conscious but visibly disoriented.

Firefighters later accessed the apartment from which the glass pane fell after confirming it was unoccupied at the time.

Officials said the apartment owner lives outside the city and the building caretaker provided keys to allow entry.

Firefighters removed a second glass panel from the same window as a precaution.

Authorities said the second panel had the same dimensions as the one that fell, adding that an investigation is ongoing to determine why the glass detached from the window.
