This is the moment a cyclist narrowly escapes being crushed by a speeding bus as it loses control and smashes into a gate, hitting another man at speed.
The scenes were filmed outside the Mother Dairy outlet on the Etawah–Mainpuri road in the town of Etawah, in Uttar Pradesh, in India, with the collision taking place on Sunday, according to reports on 24th November.
The CCTV footage shows the bus veering off course before crashing into the metal gate with significant force.
The impact smashes the gate and sends the vehicle crashing into the boundary wall and the video shows a man standing near the gate with his bicycle as he suddenly spots the out-of-control bus.
He leaps backwards just before the bus hits the gate and narrowly misses being hit by it, but another man on a scooter appears to be hit hard as the bus comes to a sudden stop when it hits the gate.
Eyewitnesses said a car travelling ahead of the bus suddenly applied its brakes, prompting the bus driver to swerve.
They said the driver then lost control while attempting to avoid the car, causing the vehicle to ram into the Mother Dairy gate. Mother Dairy is one of India's largest dairy brands.
Reports said the bus had around 40 passengers on board, with nearly a dozen suffering serious injuries.
There was no mention of the scooter rider in local media reports and his condition is unknown but there were rescue operations immediately and the injured were taken to Saifai Medical University for treatment.
The authorities have seized the bus, and preliminary findings point to negligence and overspeeding.
