The incident took place at Vadakara in Kozhikode on June 09.

Rishal, a student of Memunda Higher Secondary School, experienced a close brush with danger when a wall on a property owned by a Kootothu native, Sarada, collapsed just seconds after he had moved away from the spot. The incident occurred amidst the heavy downpour and strong winds that have been affecting the region.
Witnesses reported that Rishal, a student of Memunda Higher Secondary School, had been standing near the wall and had moved away just in time. He turned around after hearing a loud noise, only to see the boundary wall crumbling to the ground. The quick-thinking and brave student’s instincts likely saved him from potential harm, inspiring us all with his courage.
Local residents have expressed concern over the structural integrity of older buildings and walls in the area, especially given the severity of the current monsoon season. However, authorities have been promptly alerted, and an inspection of the remaining structures in the vicinity is expected to be conducted to prevent similar incidents, reassuring the community of their safety measures.
This incident starkly underscores the potential danger and the importance of vigilance and timely action during adverse weather conditions, which can turn everyday situations into life-threatening ones, emphasizing the need for immediate attention to such issues.
