This is the hilarious moment a bungling calf traps itself while attempting a 'jailbreak' from its enclosure in China.
CCTV footage captured the farm animal trying to hop across the wire pen in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, on October 23.
It appeared to be successful - only for the fence to tumble back down and trap the fleeing bovine once again.
Instead, it had succeeded in releasing its 'cellmate', which happily trotted off to enjoy its newfound freedom.
Farmer Zhou captured the amusing 'fail break' on his CCTV system.
He said: 'I couldn't help but laugh when I saw the incident on the security camera.
'I was surprised. This jailbreaker is one of the most obedient in the herd. I never thought it would try to escape.'
