A moped rider narrowly avoided a falling piece of glass in China.
The biker Hu was reportedly on his way to throw out some garbage right before the scary event unfolded in Jiangxi province on February 27.
CCTV footage shows Hu getting off his electric scooter to pick up something off the ground when a piece of tempered glass suddenly falls from the sky and smashes onto his vehicle.
Hundred of shards went flying around as Mr Hu ran away in shock. He was hit by several of them and had to go to hospital afterwards.
Hu ended up with two stitches and remained hospitalised for at least a week to be treated for his cuts. His electric scooter was destroyed in the process and was sold off for scrap.
It was later revealed that the piece of tempered glass fell from the 15th floor of a resident's apartment undergoing renovation.
Hu claimed he was angered when the resident and the renovation company refused to pay his medical bills.
Instead, they allegedly paid him a small compensation of CNY 3,000 (GBP 360) without offering an apology.
