A man filming dramatic snow-capped mountains claimed he spotted what seems to be a saintly figure surrounded by a halo.
The holy-seeming sight emerged from clouds showing what looks to be an apparition in the shape of a man beaming down on the world.
The extraordinary scene unfolded in Ganzi, Sichuan province, China on May 10 left many thinking he'd seen the divine Buddha's Light.
As the footage began, the man seemed to gasp in awe at the sign in the sky.
But he came down to earth when he later came to the conclusion that it was simply a trick of the light.
The man's shadow can be seen waving to himself in the footage as the truth dawned on him.
Then - just before the footage ends - he asked in Mandarin: 'Er...Isn't this me?'
The holy sign was simply his own reflection projected back to his phone's camera.
A similar phenomenon happened in Sichuan province last October and was captured by Li.
As he parked his car he got out to take pictures of the sea of clouds when the mysterious beams of light appeared in the sky.
