This is the moment a traditional popcorn maker 'cannon' exploded in a street vendor's face in China.
Footage shows the seller preparing to make the snack using the vintage tool for his customers in Shanxi province on November 13.
While stuffing the container with popcorn, it suddenly blew up, sending smoke and kernels toward the man's face. He was knocked down but picked himself back up unharmed.
An onlooker familiar with the vendor said the explosion was a gimmick he often used to attract customers.
