A housewife almost accidentally set herself on fire when she attempted to carry a flaming pan out of the kitchen.
The incident was captured on shocking CCTV footage at the woman's home in Hubei, China.
The video shows the woman rushing out of her kitchen with a flaming pan after the oil she had added in accidentally caught fire while preparing dinner on March 2.
During her rush, she slipped on the tiles, pouring out the oil and causing the flames to spread all around, nearly setting her clothes alight.
Another person who was about to walk in backed away in panic at the sight of the giant fireball that narrowly engulfed the fallen woman, who managed to throw the pan out of the door before the tragedy occurred.
Speaking later to local media, the woman recalled the incident and said she first tried to extinguish the fire with a lid.
After that proved ineffective, however, she decided to carry it outside for safety. Despite the close call, she emerged unharmed aside from a few singed hairs.
She added she was grateful to have remained composed during the event, which likely spared her from suffering horrible burns.
