Two escaped bulls charged into a clothes shop and attacked two women in India.
The unruly bovines were fighting in the street outside when they chased each other to a store where there was a customer talking to the owner in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand on July 12.
CCTV footage shows one of the animals backing into the narrow aisle of the shop as it was scared of the other beast.
As one of the bulls attacked the pair, they dropped to the floor and cowered under a shelf out of reach of the deranged devil cow.
The two women crouched on the ground as the bulls flung pieces of cloth in the air. One of the animals then leapt onto a shelf and broke through a barrier to escape through the back of the stall.
A man emerged with a stick to chase away the bull still left inside the shop.
Fortunately, the women were unharmed and the animals fled to the street. The incident was reported to authorities but locals claimed ‘no action has been made so far'.
In India, devout locals follow Hindu customs, with cows regarded as sacred animals that cannot be eaten or slaughtered once they have stopped producing milk. The majority of states ban the sale or slaughter of cows.
Instead of dealing with the economic burden of keeping their spent cattle, many farmers let the beasts roam the streets - leading to chaos when the animals become agitated and turn their fury on humans.
