This is the hilarious moment a pelican bit a tourist's head as he took a selfie.
The zoo visitor was posing for a picture with the bird perched on a rock when it grabbed his face at Xuzhou Jiudingshan Wildlife Park in Jiangsu, China, on November 10.
Footage shows the feathered creature looking at the camera before suddenly clamping its wide mouth around the holidaymaker's head.
The man remained still but, when he could no longer breathe, he carefully pulled the bird's bill away.
Pelicans are naturally curious and playful animals. They are known to be opportunistic feeders and will attempt to eat almost anything, sometimes even animals larger than themselves.
