This is the astonishing moment a woman who was knocked over by a train curled up in a ball until the danger passed.
Reports said the resident was attempting to cross under a stationary train at Mathura Junction in Uttar Pradesh, India, when it suddenly started moving on Monday, January 6.
Dramatic footage shows a local trapped under the moving locomotive as onlookers screamed and tried to stop it.
She was seen lying down between the two tracks to avoid being crushed.
Local media said the goods train was parked on platform number one of the station around 11 am and was scheduled to head towards Agra when two women attempted to pass beneath it from the adjacent platform.
The frightened woman reportedly escaped unhurt and sustained no injuries.
In another incident, a commuter slipped onto train tracks while trying to board a moving carriage at Kanpur Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh on November 3.
She grabbed the door bar but was dragged along as the train gained speed, eventually slipping off the platform and falling onto the tracks.
Onlookers reacted quickly, shouting and urging others to pull the train's emergency chain.
When the train finally came to a stop, the crowd worked together to rescue her from the tracks.
Reports said the woman sustained only minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
