A speeding car smashed into a parked vehicle, narrowly missing two men standing nearby in India.
Shocking footage shows the pair swiftly moving out of the car's path as it hurtled towards them, crashing into a stationary auto just inches away. Damage to the rear of the struck vehicle was visible.
Reports say the terrifying incident occurred on Sardar Patel Ring Road in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on January 13.
The car, which was driving without a plate number, allegedly fled the scene after the incident. There are suspicions that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol.
No injuries were reported.
India has one of the highest rates of road accidents in the world, with thousands of fatalities and injuries reported each year.
The poor track record is blamed on unsafe road conditions, reckless driving, inadequate enforcement of traffic laws, and a lack of awareness about road safety.
