A drinker toppled into an ice bucket when his friend opened the lid a moment before he tried to sit down on top.
CCTV footage shows the resident perched on the blue container before being asked to stand up so his companion could take more beer in Chonburi, Thailand, on August 8.
He stood up while busily scrolling on his phone before trying to sit down again when his friend walked away.
However, he did not notice the box was left uncovered, so he plunged straight into the icy tub filled with cans.
He was pulled out by his friends, laughing with them afterwards. The drinker was unhurt.
