Off-piste skiers were accused of causing an avalanche near a ski lift at an alpine resort.
Footage shows the skiers heading down the slope when the avalanche is triggered behind them in Val Venosta, South Tyrol, Italy, on Tuesday, January 28.
The avalanche stopped at the 'Des Alpes' chairlift, and no one was injured, as the skiers managed to escape at the last second.
Italian authorities are now working to identify the skiers, who are reportedly facing criminal charges.
Local media reports also mentioned that several other avalanches occurred at ski resorts on Wednesday, January 29.
In the Colle del Gigante area, located over 9,800ft (3,000 metres) above sea level on the Italian side of Mont Blanc, a 50-year-old German off-piste skier was swept away but suffered no serious injuries.
He was taken to the emergency room at Parini Hospital in Aosta for a checkup and treatment.
Later that afternoon, near Passo Venegiota in the Belluno area, a 30-year-old French ski mountaineer, part of a group of eight, was caught by an avalanche and dragged for about 1,300ft (400 metres).
The holidaymaker was transported to Belluno Hospital, but his condition is not life-threatening.
