This is the shocking moment a gas cylinder exploded, damaging at least six homes and injuring two residents in Indonesia.
CCTV footage from a garage shows a local scrolling through his phone when a sudden blast from a neighbouring property sends debris flying across the road in Cengkareng District, West Jakarta.
The explosion, which occurred around 6 am local time on Wednesday, October 15, destroyed a metal gate and roof, with shattered material striking a parked car nearby.
Cengkareng Police Chief, Commissioner Fernando Saharta Saragi, said the blast happened as the homeowner, identified only as ES, 73, was about to light the stove.
The incident is believed to have been caused by a leaking gas regulator.
Saragi added: 'Initial crime scene investigations suggest a leak from the gas installation. The regulator and pipe were found to be loose and had only been secured by the victim.'
Six homes were affected by the explosion, including ES's property and a neighbouring house directly behind. Police confirmed that the explosion did not trigger a fire.
Saragi said: 'There were no traces of fire or burn marks found in the kitchen area. The blast was purely the result of leaking gas ignited by a flame.'
Samples have been sent to the National Police Headquarters forensic laboratory to determine the technical cause of the explosion.
ES sustained burns to approximately 70 per cent of her body and has been transferred to Pertamina Hospital for intensive care. A neighbour was also rushed to Ciputra Kalideres Hospital with head injuries caused by falling debris.
