CCTV footage shows an aquarium technician inspecting the container when it suddenly collapsed in Fujian, China.
Water can be seen gushing from the shattered tank in the back kitchen of a Stone Pot Fish restaurant on October 15.
Three live fish were swept along by the current and into the dining area, where they flapped and swam across the floor.
Local media reported that the large tank had been newly installed before it burst.
The restaurant owner said all customers were allowed to leave without paying after the incident.
