This is the shocking moment a train crashed into a lorry that became stuck on a level crossing, sending pears flying through the air.
CCTV footage shows the cargo truck, loaded with freshly harvested fruit, manoeuvring across the railway when it became jammed on the tracks in Gelderland, the Netherlands.
The heavy goods vehicle can be seen moving back and forth in an attempt to move forward as the boom barriers came down on October 30.
Moments later, the locomotive approached at high speed and collided with the truck, scattering debris and pears across the crossing.
Authorities confirmed that five people, including the lorry driver, sustained minor injuries in the incident.
Local media reported that rail traffic on the line was suspended and is expected to remain closed until the end of the week.
ProRail said the video was released as a safety message, urging motorists to break through the barriers if they find themselves trapped on the tracks, noting that they are designed to be broken to prevent accidents.
