This is the nerve-wracking moment a scooter rider running a red light narrowly avoided an oncoming bus.
Dashcam footage shows the reckless motorist speeding on a busy road when he almost collided with the public bus in Bengaluru, India.
The rider, wearing a helmet, lost control and crashed in front of a stationary vehicle waiting at the junction on November 4.
He then fled the scene as if nothing had happened.
Local media reported that more than 30,000 traffic violations are recorded daily in the city.
The motorist, who was riding an unregistered Aprilia scooter, could face a fine of 5,000 INR (approximately 42.96 GBP).
Bengaluru recorded 6,580 such offences in the first half of 2025, with authorities linking these violations to the city's rising number of road accidents and 788 fatalities reported in 2024.
