This is the dramatic moment a father nearly dropped his young child while attempting to retrieve his phone.
CCTV footage shows the man cradling his son when he lost grip of his device in Guangdong, China, on November 4.
He can be seen quickly bending over to pick up the gadget that had slipped to the ground, causing the infant to swing dangerously forward.
The child narrowly slipped from his arms, but the dad tightened his grip just in time to prevent him from falling.
He then held the baby securely, checking to make sure his son was unharmed.
