A playtime session went wrong when the owner, tossing his grey feline in a living room, tumbled backward after stepping on the cat's bed in Anhui, China.
CCTV footage shows the keeper jumping and squatting while holding the motionless cat, which seems to enjoy being swung up and down on October 12.
Moments later, he accidentally stepped on the nearby cushion and lost his footing.
The startled cat dashed away as the lad lay on his stomach, groaning in pain while supporting his upper body to relieve pressure on his injured foot.
Meanwhile, his wife, tidying drawers, briefly looked at him before continuing to clean the furniture, while their son watched from the doorway.
In another clip, the man's foot can be seen swollen from the incident.
