This is the shocking moment a phone bursts into flames while its screen was being repaired in Brazil.
CCTV footage shows a technician examining another gadget when the device on his workbench suddenly ignites inside a repair shop in Ibipora, Parana.
Reports said the smartphone had been placed on a heating plate to loosen the adhesive between the circuit board and the battery.
However, the combination of a high ambient temperature and the heated mould caused the cell phone to overheat rapidly, sparking a fire at around 5:30 pm on November 28.
The shop owner said the device had been bought by the store for a screen replacement before being prepared for resale.
A worker reached for a fire extinguisher, but the flames went out on their own before it was needed.
The gadget was destroyed, but authorities confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.
