Maya Alina and her family were navigating a highway when the man in a red helmet sped into the other lane, only to hit the rider in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The impact caused the lad to fall to the ground. He clung onto the handlebars and accidentally twisted the throttle in another direction, nearly colliding with another road user on December 2.
Dashcam footage shows the motorist plunging onto the asphalt along with his vehicle.
Passing motorists immediately halted to help the fallen rider.
