This is the shocking moment a bag of rubbish exploded as a dustbin man threw it into a truck.
CCTV footage shows a resident handing a black plastic bag filled with waste to the sanitary worker standing at the rear of the yellow vehicle in Nantou County, Taiwan.
The refuse collector, wearing a yellow helmet and a blue boiler suit, lifted the bag into the compactor on December 23.
However, the bag suddenly burst, spewing a cloud of ash directly into the worker's face.
He immediately dismounted from the hopper to wipe away the dust covering his eyes and skin.
The refuse collector reportedly did not sustain life-threatening injuries.
Concerned locals have advised residents to add water to ashes to dampen them down before disposal, preventing such a mishap from happening.
