This is the shocking moment a suspected thief was left trapped in a kitchen extractor fan while allegedly attempting to break into a house in India.
Homeowner Subhash Kumar Rawat left the property with his wife on January 3 to visit the Khatu Shyam Temple in Rajasthan.
When they returned the following evening, they noticed a person partially wedged in the kitchen exhaust fan after illuminating the area with a scooter light.
Shocked by the sight, the couple shouted, alerting neighbours who quickly gathered at the compound.
An onlooker said: 'We were shocked to see him stuck there and did not expect to find anyone inside the house.
'He kept on saying he was with accomplices and threatening us, but we did not let him go and immediately called the police.'
Dramatic footage shows the suspect wearing a black top with his head and chest trapped inside the extractor opening.
A second clip shows emergency responders freeing him, with his trousers partially caught in the hole.
Officers confirmed that a car believed to have been used by the suspect carried a police sticker, which was also seized. One alleged accomplice reportedly escaped.
An investigation is ongoing.
