This is the amusing moment an eager pooch fell into the water while trying to leap from a rowing boat during morning alms.
Footage captured by Wissanurat Mungtong shows a pack of dogs aboard a wooden dinghy, accompanied by a Buddhist monk and two boatmen at the Shinna Wararam Temple dock in Pathum Thani, Thailand.
The monk can be seen sitting on the vessel scooping feed for the fish, while a crew of excitable canines waits for the boat to approach the bank on the morning of January 27.
However, as the boat drifted closer to the dock, one of the Shih Tzus attempted to jump onto dry land too early, causing it to plunge straight into the river.
A man at the rear of the vessel acted immediately, retrieving the frantic pooch as it paddled its paws.
He gently placed the soaking wet animal onto the platform, but just as the first dog was safe, a second Shih Tzu also misjudged the distance and tumbled into the water. Both were quickly retrieved to safety.
Wissanurat said: 'The monk boards the boat every morning for alms, except on Buddhist Holy Days, and the dogs usually join him. The dogs were absolutely fine and weren't hurt. It happens quite often because they are just so excited to get back to land.'
