This is the impressive moment a napping pet cat suddenly woke up to catch a pigeon in the blink of an eye.
CCTV footage shows Lucky, the tabby feline, resting on top of a glass display case while staff work nearby in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand.
Moments later, the pigeon swooped low through the shop, prompting the seemingly fast-asleep kitty to pounce it on January 21.
The agile moggie clamped its jaws onto the bird, causing a startled woman browsing her phone nearby to scream in shock.
Lucky then leapt to the floor, firmly holding the flapping pigeon as it tried to escape.
The shop owner recalled how he jumped up from his desk to intervene seconds later, eventually managing to free the hapless bird from the cat's grip.
The pigeon was unharmed and was released shortly after.
The owner said: 'This wasn't Lucky's first bit of mischief. He is a well-known troublemaker in the neighbourhood. He even slap dogs that are much bigger than him.'
