This is the shocking moment a BMW smashed through a supermarket front, leaving a pensioner and two children injured.
CCTV footage captured the blue BMW 320i M bursting through the glass shopfront and into the store, ploughing into the elderly woman, 90, and two youngsters in Cascavel, Brazil.
The impact caused the shelves to collapse onto the three victims, scattering products across the floor on January 31.
One child was struck by the car during the crash but managed to avoid life-threatening injuries.
The Cascavel Fire Department mobilised two ambulances and a rescue truck to the scene, where crews cordoned off the area and provided emergency first aid to customers and staff.
Lieutenant Risardi confirmed that the elderly woman and a nine-year-old child were taken to the hospital with injuries described as minor. A second child suffered only minor abrasions and was treated at the scene.
Local media reported that the driver told firefighters she had confused the pedals while manoeuvring in the car park, accidentally hitting the accelerator instead of the brake.
The sudden surge caused the car to jump the kerb and barrel into the busy shop.
Access to the supermarket and surrounding traffic was partially interrupted while emergency teams worked at the scene, and the vehicle was removed from inside the store.
