This is the shocking moment a speeding bus crashed through a house in India, leaving the driver injured.
CCTV footage shows debris flying from the wall after the coach rammed into the property in Kozhikode, Kerala.
Later clips show the green vehicle stationary near the house as residents rushed outside on Monday.
The driver was seen inside the bus, reportedly trying to call for help following the crash.
Reports said he was the only person in the bus at the time and sustained injuries. He was taken for medical treatment, while no residents or pedestrians were harmed.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Last month, a chemical tanker collided with a roadside hotel in Gujarat. The truck, carrying hydrochloric acid, crashed on Sunday night, February 8.
Initial reports suggest overspeeding or brake failure may have caused the accident. No injuries were reported.
India has one of the highest rates of road accidents in the world, with thousands of fatalities and injuries reported each year.
The startling bad track record is blamed on unsafe road conditions, reckless driving, inadequate enforcement of traffic laws, and a lack of awareness about road safety.
