This is the incredible moment a heroic mother bird shielded her nest from an oncoming tractor.
The black-winged stilt cried and fanned out its wings to block farmer Taweesak Traipoom while he was driving across a rice paddy in Ayutthaya, Thailand, on August 20.
Footage shows the long-legged avian with her powerful maternal instints chirping loudly to draw Taweesak's attention to the nest containing its precious eggs.
Taweesak said he moved the nest away from the rice field, which was flooded from recent heavy rain, to ensure its safety.
