Footage shows a rare pink glow in the sky above Birmingham as Storm Goretti brought snow to the region.
The distinctive hue, which resembled the Northern Lights, was caused by pink LED lights being used on the pitch at Birmingham City's football ground.
Atmospheric conditions caused by Storm Goretti, which brough heavy snow across the UK and plunging temperatures, meant the sky was more reflective.
'Atmospheric conditions with low cloud and even during snow, can make the sky a little more reflective and show a glow of street lighting, buildings and even purple lights from football stadiums,' a meteorologist told local media.
Storm Goretti has seen snow, ice and strong winds across the UK with more severe weather forecast.
